KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • Fast Templates launches: pick from curated templates and customize in minutes.
  • Guides Brand Voice sets your tone once and applies it to every AI-generated guide.
  • Deal Room and Playlist UX received a significant overhaul across multiple areas.
  • Playlist Selection Controls give shared playlists a cleaner buyer experience.
  • All four features are live and customers voted Fast Templates to the top of our roadmap.

Four features shipped in June. All of them came from the same place: conversations with the teams building demos and deal rooms every day.

Walnut’s public roadmap is where customers vote on what we build next. Fast Templates, the most requested feature in our June cycle, went from roadmap to live in this sprint. The others followed from the same signal: reduce friction in the moments that slow teams down the most.

Here is what shipped, what changed, and how to use it.

Fast Templates: Start With a Proven Foundation

The blank canvas is the enemy of speed. Every time a rep or PMM needed to build a new Playlist or Interactive Deal Room from scratch, they faced a starting problem: where to begin, which sections to include, how to structure the flow for a buyer who has never seen the product.

Fast Templates solves the starting problem. Instead of a blank screen, you now open a gallery of curated templates built from real use cases: enterprise discovery, SMB evaluation, security review, executive summary, and more. Pick the one that matches your deal type, make it yours, and ship it in minutes instead of hours.

The templates are not locked. Every element is editable. The structure is the starting point; the customization is what makes it yours. And because templates are built on Walnut’s existing Playlist and Interactive Deal Room infrastructure, all of your existing personalization, analytics, and CRM integrations work exactly as they did before.

Fast Templates is live now for Playlists and Interactive Deal Rooms. Access the gallery from the creation flow in your workspace.

Guides Brand Voice: AI-Generated Content That Sounds Like You

When Story Capture builds a guided demo experience, it generates annotations, tooltips, and step descriptions that explain what the buyer is looking at. That generation is now brand-aware.

Guides Brand Voice lets you define your company’s tone, terminology, and product naming conventions once in Company Settings. Every AI-generated guide that Story Capture produces from that point forward applies your brand voice automatically. If your team uses specific product names, preferred phrasing, or avoids certain language, the AI applies those rules on every first draft.

The practical impact: the gap between AI-generated output and publish-ready content gets smaller. Reps spend less time rewriting and correcting. Brand consistency improves across every demo, without anyone having to manually review and edit each guide.

Set your brand voice in Company Settings under Guides. It applies immediately to all future Story Capture outputs.

Deal Room and Playlist UX Upgrades

This update is a collection of improvements that are meaningfully better experience for both sellers and buyers.

Rich text editing is now available throughout Deal Rooms and Playlists, giving teams more control over how content is formatted and presented. Interactive checklists let you build structured action lists inside a room, which pairs naturally with Mutual Action Plans. Co-branded two-logo banners let you display both your company’s logo and your buyer’s logo in the same Deal Room, reinforcing that the room was built specifically for them.

Office file previews are the update that will save the most back-and-forth. Excel, PowerPoint, and Word files now render inline inside Deal Rooms. Buyers see the document without downloading it. The conversation stays in the room. Card image styles give you more visual options for how content tiles appear in the room’s navigation. Auto-save means no work is lost between edits.

These are the details that add up to a buyer experience that feels polished and intentional, which is exactly how a deal room should feel when a champion is sharing it with their buying committee.

Playlist Selection Controls: The Buyer Gets a Cleaner Experience

When you share a Playlist, you now control exactly how it opens for the buyer.

Playlist Selection Controls let you configure whether the Playlist opens with everything pre-selected, nothing selected, or a specific subset selected. Buyers also get a one-click select-all option, so navigating a long Playlist does not require clicking through every item individually.

For teams sending Playlists to enterprise buying committees, this matters. A security-focused buyer who receives a Playlist about implementation, integrations, and compliance does not need to parse which items are relevant to them. You configure the opening state to match their context. They arrive in the right place.

Playlist Selection Controls are live now. Configure them in the sharing settings for any Playlist.

What’s Coming Next

The features above are live. The next wave is already on the roadmap.

Walnut’s public roadmap shows what is in build, what is planned, and what is being explored. Customers vote on what moves forward. Fast Templates was the number-one voted feature before it shipped in June. The next most-voted items are already in development.

If there is something your team is waiting for such as a workflow or an integration that would change how your pipeline runs, go vote. The roadmap moves where the signal points.

Frequently Asked Questions About June 2026 Walnut Updates

What is Fast Templates in Walnut?

Fast Templates is a gallery of pre-built starting points for Playlists and Interactive Deal Rooms. Instead of building from a blank canvas, teams pick a template that matches their use case, customize it for the specific deal or buyer, and ship it faster. Templates are fully editable — the structure is the starting point, not a constraint.

How does Guides Brand Voice work?

Guides Brand Voice lets you set your company’s tone, terminology, and preferred product naming once in Company Settings. Every guide that Story Capture generates after that point applies your brand voice automatically. It reduces the editing required after AI generation and improves consistency across every demo your team creates.

What Office files can now preview inside Deal Rooms?

Excel (.xlsx), PowerPoint (.pptx), and Word (.docx) files now render inline inside Walnut Deal Rooms. Buyers can read and review documents without downloading them. The preview is part of the room experience, so the conversation and the content stay in one place.

What are Playlist Selection Controls?

Playlist Selection Controls let sellers configure how a Playlist opens for the buyer. You can pre-select all items, pre-select none, or pre-select a specific subset. Buyers also get a one-click select-all option. This gives teams more control over the buyer’s first experience when they open a shared Playlist.

Where can I vote on what Walnut ships next?

The public roadmap is at help.walnut.io/roadmap. Every feature currently in build, planned, or being explored is listed there. Vote on the items that matter most to your team, and Walnut will notify you when they ship.

How do I access the new features?

All four June features are live in your Walnut workspace now. Fast Templates appear in the creation flow for Playlists and Interactive Deal Rooms. Guides Brand Voice is in Company Settings. Deal Room and Playlist UX updates are applied automatically. Playlist Selection Controls appear in the sharing settings for any Playlist.

Everything above is live in your workspace today.
