What’s your name? Where do you work?
My name is Aileen Waugh, and I’m an Account Executive at Braze.
What do you love the most about sales?
My favorite thing about sales is getting the Docusign completed. I’m kidding.
In all seriousness, I love teaming up with marketers. Marketers are just fun in general.
What’s your golden rule in sales?
Persistence is key.
What’s the funniest thing a client told you?
I was on Zoom with a client, and they quickly said, “Hold on, I’ll be right back.” They came back a few minutes later, and they told me that their puppy had taken a number two in the other room.
What’s your best sales tip?
Approach every conversation with curiosity. Practicing this tactic, I found that I’m a lot better at understanding the true core of the problem they’re trying to solve or how this would make their life better.
What’s the worst mistake to avoid?
Assuming that a deal is yours just because there are enough positive signals that indicate that it might be.
Biggest superstition before you close a deal?
If I’m in the 11th hour and I’m feeling good about the deal, I try to just remind myself that I can do it.
Sell me a walnut
I heard you were looking for an all natural way to buff the scratches out of your hardwood table. Have you tried using a walnut?
