What’s your name? Where do you work?
Hello there, I am Joachim or Joe in English, and I am taking care of the revenue collective chapter based in Munich.
Your most embarrassing sales story
My most embarrassing sales story… We had a deal open and we were wondering, you know, why it was slowing down and then we did some research on the decision taken and it turned out that his ex-girlfriend was actually a girl I was dating now.
Best sales tip
The best sales tip I can give you is definitely making sure that you rather, at the beginning, get rid of an opportunity, rather than at the end. It comes with the question of “what’s the golden rule?” The golden rule in sales is to rule out as fast as possible.
Worst mistake to avoid
The worst mistake in sales is definitely not engaging with the people you meet. Making sure it’s a two-sided thing, that’s the way you should go.
A superstition you have before closing a deal
Writing it down in the Slack community within the organization. If that deal doesn’t close I’m gonna do A B C, and that really keeps me focused. Trust me, you colleagues will remember.
Biggest challenge when demoing
So the biggest challenge while I’m running a demo is keeping an audience engaged, especially in larger audiences, it’s very challenging to engage every single person and make them feel a reason for being on that actual call.
Sell me a walnut!
Selling you a walnut… if you eat a walnut on a regular daily basis even with less physical activity you burn more fat, maybe that is something you want to consider.
