Treat prospects like humans and not a number.

What’s the last sales tip you heard that hit home?

Figure out how to sell to the 97% of people who don’t want to buy, as opposed to the 3% of people who do.

What’s the worst way to ruin a sales demo?

Starting with a slide deck about your company.

What’s the best piece of sales coaching you ever received?

Don’t let one bad day turn into a bad week, which will turn into a bad month.

How do you keep prospects’ attention during a demo?

Make it conversational, make sure that they’re engaged, and don’t be afraid to show a little bit of your personality. People buy from people.

What’s your biggest sales no-no?

Blindly going into a cold call with no research, and of course, the spray and pray method. Don’t do it.

What’s the most awkward thing that ever happened to you on a Zoom call?

I would say my dad forgetting to close his bedroom door and started changing his shirt. My boss was like, “What’s going on?”
